Describe your suggested feature

There should be a proper watch history that keeps track of every single episode you watch. It should give you information such as the episode's number and title, the source you used, the subsection of the show it's in (e.g. if in the second season, it should say so), and when you watched it.

Naturally, clicking on it should being you back to that episode at the precise time you stopped watching it.

Other details

There are about two pre-existing features that may sound close but aren't.

The first is the search history. I think it is obvious why it doesn't fulfill this.

The other is the "continue watching" bit, which is helpful, but it only tracks for shows that you haven't "finished".

Acknowledgements

  • I have searched the existing issues and this is a new ticket, NOT a duplicate or related to another open issue.
  • I have written a short but informative title.
  • I will fill out all of the requested information in this form.

https://trakt.tv, for example, does this. It's brilliant. It's one of the things that CloudStream is most lacking in my opinion (except synchronization).

I plan to start some work on a PR for this soon, once some of my current PRs are merged, and I do a few other smaller things, but this is the next thing I want to work on myself here as it does seem like something that could be very useful.

@fire-light42 @Blatzar @LagradOst once #691 and #705 are merged I plan to work on this, if this is something CS wants. I want to make sure before I do the work for it so I don't waste my time. My thoughts was first implement something to store watch history as one PR and a later PR to implement showing it in library or something, but I don't want to waste my time on this if it's not something CS wants as well. Thanks!

Is there any news? Can I integrate trakt tv to Cloud Stream?
