Enselic/recordmydesktop@796a488 says contributions should be made to this repo; yet this repo lacks any tagged releases, a github pages website, and there are a dozen open issues on that repo.

@Enselic How can the project be unified? :)

I've been making tags as development progresses, but somewhat deliberately have neglected to make releases or automate anything along those lines as it's sort of low hanging fruit territory for new contributors, if anyone ever comes along that actually cares enough about this project to get involved.

In lieu of interested parties willing to get involved, it will just stay the way it is. This tool makes acceptable desktop recordings now for my purposes, and whenever it sees development from me it's usually because I'm scratching my own itch in response to encountering a bug or other shortcoming in my own usage.

Someone could go through the other repo's open issues and verify which still apply to this fork, then recreate those here maybe with a link back to the original issue for posterity sake. There's been a significant amount of development in this fork, from where I'm sitting it went from unusably broken to usable, so I suspect at least some issues don't apply - not that I've gone through them at all.

Thank you for your interest.

Not sure exactly, but what @vcaputo suggests seems like a good way to start.
