Should it really behave like this?

If so, what's the logic?

Is the behavior question for the gradient-lab tool, or the gradient command in draw? In either case, I have to say "I don't know." because I don't know what the alternative would be. e.g. what do other gradient systems (maybe in SVG or OpenGL) do, and where did Red's design come from? What is to emulate the AGG behavior from R2, and where did AGG get their algorithm?

@qtxie is this easy for you to answer?

I don't know either. Also the diamond gradient only exists in GDI+, maybe we should remove it.

Yeah. GDI+ is not something we should depend on, considering how buggy it is.

I agree, and don't know of anything that ever used it. Make it so @qtxie.
