When a client (or a minimal quorum of clients that may include the maintainer and other neighboring entities) issue(s) the "VACATIONS " command, the maintainer shall abstain from working on the project for a contiguous amount of time ( days), including the current main branch and any regressions on 3.x.
Optionally, he may use Redis itself to keep track of said time interval (via TTL on a predefined key), go to the beach, or anything else that ensures his continued happiness.

Now that's a feature! I'm trying to implement this command, I need it myself for a project of mine, the problem I've is that the communication link between Redis and the maintainer is not working properly... He keeps maintaining even when a vacation message is delivered and an ack is received by Redis. My hypothesis is that maintener's hardware is broken, probably broken memory or alike.
Could be an alignment issue stemming from the recent experiments in ARM. Humans tend to stick to predefined alignments and have trouble resetting their firmware.
The normal troubleshooting process involves of lots of sunshine, preferably by repeatedly exposing the subject to it in the "big blue room". Withdrawal symptoms related to keyboards and silicon usually subside after a week, and can be sped along by a good (dead tree) book.
