Hi,

I was wondering what happened to reek? He has not been active for almost 2 months now.
Does anyone know more?
If he won't update the list&script anymore we have to find another way to accumulate the additions in the most recent issues into a new list. Otherwise one has to look up the sites where it doesn't work manually in the issues here.

Thanks in advance,
afkjson

Reek, if you read this: Please come back :-) We miss you
In case you're on vacation: Enjoy it and sorry for bothering you with this drama :-D

He's MIA

I have 40-ish websites in my script, and I barely have time to maintain them... I think Reek is tired and need a break.

He already got a break of 2 months, if this elongates anymore then he's abandoned the project altogether.

Let's hope that he will be back. He might been busy in real life.

He's gone for good, he's not coming back, it's been 3 months nearly, either way, kill your hopes. The amount of issues that are popping up are out of control so even if he comes back he won't be able to fix them all, not to mention the ones now lying in the closed pile are already in hundreds, this is a lost cause.

@rjkpa I really hope somebody will start a fork where we could contribute and put all the new filters.

Something where everybody could contribute instead of relying on just one men. :octocat:

95% of the issues can be fixed using normal filters, so the easylist forum is enough: http://forums.lanik.us/

ubo users can use the specific repository: https://github.com/uBlockOrigin/uAssets/issues

I really hope somebody will start a fork

It already has been forked 244 times, the question remains who's willing to actively update the filter list and script like reek used to do. I can easily fork it right now, however I cannot code in JS as I'm not a programmer, I can only create filters and maintain them, though only at my own time as I'm not actively online here 24/7.

We need a fork where multiple folks can contribute and maintain it, not just a single guy.

Also as mapx mentioned more than 95 % of the issues here can be fixed via filters itself, we don't need the userscript where reek fixes each site with JS injections. So I'm thinking of ditching this AAK script for good. If it's not gonna update anymore, there's no point in running it either.

@rjkpa If you begin a fork I will contribute to it in my spare time 😄

If you fork it give it a new name so it will be more easy to differentiate it from a personal for.k
State clearly that everybody is welcome to add rules and contribute.

Let me me know if you start it :octocat:

Regards 😊
