Right now, I only dealt with the happy flow. AJAX calls should always succeed. If not, the user does not get any feedback. That should change.

In addition: I've noticed that some of the AJAX calls did not work if there has been permission changes after the install of the extension. This should be checked upon loading the preferences page.
