Reconnect MQTT on lost connection

For different reasons my HA server was re-started a couple of times.
On each occasion I had to log in to the p1ib and save settings/restart for it to reconnect.
Is this expected behaviour? Can it be improved?

Hi,
It was a bug that sadly was introduced between some refactoring of the p1ib firmware.
It is fixed in the development firmware since some time back.
However I haven't pushed it as a stable firmware yet.

If you want you can try out the development firmware.
