What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. python doctests.py -v *.py


What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "doctests.py", line 42, in <module>
    for name in sys.argv if name != "-v"]
ImportError: No module named *


What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
python 2.5 
OS: windows xp

Please provide any additional information below.

Yes, I had only tested under Linux and Mac OS X, so I forgot that Windows does 
not
expand "*.py" on the command line -- added glob.glob to do the job on Windows.
