Installation instructions clarification about add-apt-repository
#19

Also, having issues installing it at all:
|
We have not seen this sort of problem yet. How did you install precise (desktop/server, live/alternate)? Are you running on x86_64? Could you try downloading the deb directly from Launchpad ( https://launchpad.net/~rethinkdb/+archive/ppa/+files/rethinkdb_1.2.2-14-g84454d-1-0ubuntu1~precise_amd64.deb )? |
I suspect this is a 32 bit problem. Unfortunately rethink only runs on 64-bit systems, I'll clarify this in the docs. |
Also need to clarify that rethink is only available on 64 bit systems for now. Will do soon. |
Yep, definitely trying to install on 32. I was looking for that clarification =] |
Fixed installation instructions and prereqs info. |
Since ubuntu 12.10, the add-apt-repository has been moved to a different package called "software-properties-common". See https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cloud-init/+bug/1021418 |
@dbro -- err, one just can't win with these things :) Reopening, should be able to address this week. |
Fixed on the site. |
