add authentication to WebUI

As of issue #4519 we have decided to punt for the moment on authentication for the WebUI while adding authentication to the driver protocol (and authorizations on the server side). For the moment anyone connecting to the WebUI will be considered an admin.

Obviously this is not ideal, so this is the stub of an issue to add authentication to the WebUI.

As a curious user, what are the plans of adding the auth to the web UI as of late?

I don't think anybody is planning on adding it. Nobody has expressed that they'd really want it.
