Hi, I have tried the faikin on three models so far none of which are on the supported list (I will be going to add them to list when I work out how). All three have worked (except for powerful mode). I guess first check if it has a S21 port or S403 or X50 as per the instructions. After that the only thing you can do is try it then update the list. Good thing is the faikin is reasonably cheap. |

I was trying to access t the pcb but was impossible to me. I open some plastics and see some connector, but the pcb is located in a so difficult side to get a proper view.... It's a pitty I will try again, but not sure at all... |

Okay, thank you again @44616E I was checking the post and I guess I understood correctly. I can try (sooo) carefully to check if the pin 10 has the 320V with a tester. And then, assume 6 and 7 pins will be ground And the others (2, 3, 8, 9, 10) will be unused One silly question. In the PCB, in the S connectors I realized there is always a small arrow in one of the sides. Is this arrow pointing the begining of the pins? (For the image attached I used one from the bigger ac, the smaller is so difficult to get a photo because of its location. So for this example I am using the S21 connector, not the S403)

The arrow points to pin 1 The 300v pin will not have a pin next to it. Dont try to measure it because we aren't sure which ground reference to use. You don't convert the 14v it connects to the 12v pin on the faikin. The 5v pin on the faikin is left disconected. Do not do anything while the ac has power (switch off at the breaker and wait 30 mins for caps to discharge. Even then don't touch an pins or components including the faikin once it's connected. The faikin should be heat shrinked (preferably twice), once it's plugged into to s403 it will be live and thus just as dangerous to touch as the pins on the board. |

Okay. Yep, once I understood the "only" problem to use the s403 connector instead of S21 is because of the power some pins have, everything went easier into my mind. Thank you again But using the pins mentioned shouldn't be a problem taking care a leaving the ac off for a huge while (having this big capacitors). Thank you, will post some news after I can finally use it to be able to add this units to the availability list |

@txitxo0 it's not the power some pins have. Its all the pins. On a normal s21 port the pins are isolated this means they don't have a path back to the mains. On the s403 port the pins are basically refernced to the ac supply. This means that even though it may be a 5v pin to the ground pin. To the mains earth it could still be 120 or 240V. Thus if you touch the faikin after its plugged in you can get a serious and dangerous electric shock. Thus you must treat the faikin as if its live. If you dont understand these hazards you'd be better off with the isolated board. |

Hi there!! I could try a little bit more I am trying to get it working for both units (FTXS35K3V1B and FTXS325K3V1B) as ypou alreasdy know FTXS35K3V1B: apparently it is working like a charm using its S21 connector🥳 🥳 🥳 using this configuration for the unit with S403 connector I have some problems apparently related with the data. The esp32 is running so pins for Vcc and GND should be okay, but the Tx and Rx maybe are the ones failing. These are the ESPHome logs: For a yaml template like this: external_components:
