NumPy & SciPy Sprint @ EuroSciPy'13

  • Date: 25 Aug 2013 (Sun)
  • Place: EuroScipy conference location (Université libre de Bruxelles, Brussels, Belgium), https://www.euroscipy.org/program/sprints/
  • Find us on: irc.freenode.net in channel #scipy, the scipy-dev mailing list and on Github

The EuroSciPy conference ends on a Saturday this year, so Sunday is an excellent opportunity for a sprint. We will have several core NumPy/SciPy developers present, and hope that many conference-goers will join us in person. Of course attending from a remote location is also possible.

We are looking for volunteers to write documentation, review code, fix bugs or improve the scipy.org and Scipy Central websites. New contributors are most welcome.

If you'd like to get started but are unsure where, the list of easy-fix issues may be helpful: https://github.com/scipy/scipy/issues?labels=easy-fix&page=1&state=open

Priorities:

  • Getting new contributors up and running with NumPy or SciPy development
  • Merging open pull requests
  • Critical bugs for the 0.13.0 release

Topics

Add here topics that you plan to work on, with a short description and your name if you plan on coordinating effort for that topic.

  • Sorting out OS X Accelerate issues, if not done by then.
  • Completing OpenBLAS support in distutils.
  • Extending CI setup (should test with ATLAS / OpenBLAS / Intel MKL / Accelerate).
