[Notepad3 (x64) 6.24.309.1 rc3]

Scheme adjustment, change a color:

The fields for the RGB values of a color only take up two numbers instead of three. This means that you cannot manually enter a color value greater than 99.

It would be correct if you could enter 0 - 255.

If you use the color slider, three digits are displayed in the RGB fields, but as soon as you want to change them manually, only two digits are allowed as input.

Latest version: Notepad3 (x64) 6.24.414.1 rc3
Strange, I can manually add a color value greater than 99 without any problem? 🤔

Windows 7 x64 SP1 and Notepad3 x64 V. 6.23.203.2 Portable

notepad3-color

What is really strange is the fact that I also use other editors that use the same Windows color dialog for setting the colors - and there the manual input of three-digit values works without any problems.

Here, for example, the same dialog under Notepad++ on the same machine.

Correction: Reproducible at Display Scale of 125%
I will adapt the fields for that scale.

Hello @BinaryRider ,

Feel free to test the "BETA/RC PortableApps", version "Notepad3Portable_6.24.522.1_rc3.paf" or newer, see in issue #1129.

"Notepad3Portable BETA/RC PortableApps" version can be used with or without ".7z" extension.

Also, feel free to test the "BETA/RC Setup", version "Notepad3_6.24.522.1_rc3_Setup" or newer, see the 2nd list in issue #1129.

Comments and suggestions are welcome... 😃

This issue is not solved for me in Notepad3 (x64) 6.24.309.1 rc3 Portable (zip file).
Same problem like in the previous Version. I can enter only two digits.

Addendum:

Ah, I have now tested the version Notepad3Portable_6.24.522.1_rc3.paf.
The problem is solved there! Thank you very much.

I assumed that the fix was also included in 6.24.309.1.
Sorry. :-/

Notepad3 (x64) 6.24.309.1 rc3 is a version dated: 2024-03-09

You must try with the latest version of Notepad3 (x64) 6.24.522.1 rc3 dated: 2024-05-22 or newer. 😏
