Should title slide be "special"

So the title slide is kind of hard to customize, as its input format is different from the other types of slides. I wonder if it would make more sense for the title slide to just be a different class of slide without using "special" character inputs. Then it might be easier to customize.

More speciflcally, I'm proposing that the input for the Title slide change from this:
