Installed 1.0 on linux fedora f12.

I noticed data went in /usr/namebench.  I believe /usr/share/namebench
would be a more standard choice.

namebench actually will install wherever the distribution has specified that 
python 
datafiles go. For instance, in Ubuntu they install into /usr/local/namebench. I 
agree 
that this is an issue, but it's one that I believe lies with the Fedora folks.
