It's a frequently asked question: Can unanswered questions be made available too? I like to be notified when an answer is published.

So these are some of the things we should do here:

  • Wrap question and answer in something like an dossier/case
  • Question/Answer can have multiple files
(Sachsen sometimes has attachments in additional .pdfs, others release correction pdfs)
  • Files could be in multiple formats
(see Add Written Questions by the European Parliament to Kleineanfragen #100 - the EU has .doc and/or .html, sometimes .pdf - in case of .doc we have to provide an in-browser-viewable format)
  • Add subscription for single dossiers/cases

Questions:

  • How to keep URLs clean?
  • How to display unanswered questions on the site? search?
    • Use the sum or only the answered values for page_count, contents, ...?
  • What happens if the reference (or title) changes from question to answer? What is used in the URL? Redirects?
  • How to handle thumbnails for opengraph/twitter?
  • Should the question files be hidden after we've got an answer?

Notes:

  • Look closely what OParl is doing
  • Store publishing date of the question and the answer. Could be helpful for finding "forgotten questions"/scraper bugs.
