OS X restoration of CWD doesn't work from within git repositories

In a normal directory:

justin:github/ $
(Command-T)
justin:github/ $

In a git repository:

justin:github/ $ cd dotfiles
justin:dotfiles/ (git)-[master] $
(Command-T)
justin:~/ $

This did work at one point.

I'm using the git plugin and vcs_info for my prompt, if it matters. Let me know if there's any other info I can provide.
