Speed up emacs plugin by checking emacsclient instead of emacs #6840

Loading the emacs plugin is slow (it takes 50ms on my machine). Most of the time is spent checking that emacs version is above 24.
Instead, checking that emacsclient is above 24 is much faster than emacs.
The load time goes down to less than 10ms on my machine.
