How do you get it to work on fMSX core (Retroarch) ? #2

Hello! I'm stuck on this screen:

I set the controller to keyboard so CTRL should work fine but nothing happens.
Have you got it to boot on retroarch?

If you don't mind me asking, why is this screen needed at all? Why not boot directly to the game?
