in navigating bach through paths i have to hit delete twice, to remove the name and the "/" separately.
would be good to just cut the whole path segment, like most shells do.

also when i open a directory with this plugin it will open a new window, is that expected?
would be great to select that location in the sidepanel..

For opening directories, I copied the behaviour of ST (or at least, that's what it did when I wrote the plugin.) The reason is because you usually don't want to add a folder to the current project on open. I was working on making it keep the same window if nothing was open though.

For removing the "/", I completely agree. I never got around to looking into how this could be done using the ST plugin API. If you have any ideas I'm open to pull requests!
