Hi everyone, I'm currently evaluating RQ as a task execution system for our project. We also want to utilize Redis as a in-memory cache, so it's nice that we can utilize the same backend. I'm wondering how a global eviction policy can affect RQ and it's queue system.
Specifically I'm looking at https://redis.io/docs/reference/eviction/
Which of these settings are compatible with RQ? My assumption is that if I would specify
allkeys-lru
orallkeys-lfu
it could happen that keys that are used by RQ could be accidentally evicted, is this assumption correct? Does RQ set the expire field to false so that I can usevolatile-lru/volatile-lfu
without worrying about interfering with RQ?Thanks for any help on this! Is there maybe a general page/information how to configure the Redis instance for use with RQ?
