I have an implicit Markdown <pre> block (created by 4 space prefix) containing blank lines (which still have the 4 space prefix). In Ronn 0.5's HTML output, the blank lines are preserved correctly, but in the Roff output, the blank lines are squashed into a single blank line.

Hmm, actually this is not Ronn's fault. I looked at the generated Roff output and the blank lines are indeed there. The problem is really with man(1) squashing the blank lines... maybe the .nf directive does not preserve blank lines? Is there some other Roff directive we can use instead?
Weird. I thought I fixed this in the last release. The .nf blocks were being line stripped. It may be necessary to embed some kind of line ending directive, yes.
