Super Mario Flash 2.5: Castle softlock #6775
Comments
Update on this bug, decided to test out version 3.0 and it works for some reason, Retested version 2.5 again and it seems to be something going on with that version. Version 2.0 seems to dump you into a completely black room after you go through the pipe, and you just become completely invisible after stage 3 on version 1.7 and 1.3 |
One more thing I noticed after retesting again, dunno if it's how it is on flash, but on versions past 2.5, the victory jingle at the end of the level seems to jump randomly slightly compared to how it sounds on 2.5 and 3.0. |
Castle softlock issues on 2.5 and 2.0 still seem to be present on current ruffle according to test results from another user. Same for Mario becoming completely invisible still starting level 3. The victory jingle sound jumping randomly seems to happen on flash too though, so it's not a ruffle issue as I once thought. SMF SWFS.zip |
The softlock issues on the castle stage on 2.5 and 2.0 and the invisible bug on 1.7 and 1.3 are still present as of the latest nightly. |
Describe the bug
For some reason when playing Super Mario Flash version 2.5, the game softlocks you in a room with an upside down Goomba during the first castle level when you enter the first pipe. Tested with version 2022-04-20 of Ruffle and console log.

Expected behavior
