Custom scss or script

Starting about 12 hours ago the scss and script had stopped working. Went back to the basics and tried forking the starter-slim repo and adding the following code as found to the _config.yml as noted in the rundocs documentation and the scripts do not run. 2 days ago were working fine. Now all my css and nav width changes are not loading when the page loads :(
