[Request] Enable materials when pressing "select all" #72
Comments
It's not on by default because it doesn't make sense to copy stuff when not copying to a different version of the same avatar. At some point saving settings seems to have broken, despite me trying to fix them. |
I do kinda get that, but to me it's a weird user experience when I press "show all", "select all" and not everything is copied over Maybe change select all to select all components then or something, if it doesn't also select all fields of the components |
It selects all components but not all the settings for those components. That's also intentional because selecting every single thing will most likely break your avatar.
It happened before and some things that were enabled by default had to be changed because most people seem to not check what anything does and just copy everything with default settings.

Try latest release. I potentially fixed selections not saving when opening/closing the tools or restarting unity. So if you tick material, it should stay on. |
I've been using this tool for years and only today did I learn it could copy materials. The fact that it doesn't do it by default, and especially that it doesn't do it if you go to "show all" and press "select all" baffles me. I was wondering if this feature could be turned on by default or when you press select all, so other don't have to follow my fate.
