Am I correct in assuming that Produced/Consumed tags is not available?

I'm not sure I about your request, but produced/consumed is a viable option when you have to exchange data between PLCs.
If needed you can use pycomm to read/write multiple PLCs at the same time, and that include the tags shared within the produced/consumed configuration
