I just investigated this further. Calling Using It seems that only the command line windows inside Windows 11 are not able to transport this information for some reason. |

Bug Description
According to the documentation it should be possible to call
rustdesk.exe
with command line arguments to get certain informations. The code also strongly suggests, this should be the case.
I was not able to get any output on
stdout
orstderr
when trying these commands:rustdesk.exe --version
rustdesk.exe --get-id
The command shell returns immediately after those commands. The only output is a new line.
Running the exe with an unknown parameter (eg.
rustdesk.exe --abcdefg
) behaves as if no parameter was provided: the RustDesk UI is opened if it was not open before. This behaviour is the same, both as a normal or administrative user.
How to Reproduce
cd
into the RustDesk installation directory (eg."C:\Program Files\RustDesk"
)rustdesk.exe --version
rustdesk.exe --get-id
Expected Behavior
rustdesk.exe --version
should write the current version tostdout
rustdesk.exe --get-id
should write the RustDesk ID of the current machine tostdout
Operating system(s) on local side and remote side
