It's not me but clients, that usually when using IE8 can't upgrade. :) Since PW supports IE8...

@somatonic: in our case it looks like most IE8 issues will go away with users upgrading from XP to something newer, which has to happen during a period of few months (or they'll face bigger problems than a few broken layouts). Just saying -- might not be the answer for you, of course, but it's going to decrease IE8 user base considerably around here at least.

On another note, this is one of the reasons I'm still using "old" admin theme for our client sites. Last time I checked, there appeared to be a lot of other small IE8 issues too. Old theme works just fine and if you're using ancient browser.. well, don't expect to get all the fancy new tools either :)

For a controlled environment as ProcessWire I think we all are better off if we could prevent IE8. That people can't upgrade IE8 is half the truth. FireFox, Chrome, Opera doing great on XP. I love to see a setting to prevent access to the admin with certain browsers.
