The massive rewrite is to hopefully get things running in a more object-orientated manner. We'll be writing classes for authentication, account info, general game functions, etc. This massive codebase change will NOT be compatible with v2 or v1, of course.
I'm hoping v5 of Bootstrap comes along during the dev time of v3 Chivalry Engine so we may update to that, to make the engine look different enough from V2/V1.
Otherwise, I hope to keep things functionally the same for the end user, just future game developers will likely have a cleaner codebase to work with.
