AFAIR Philippe is trying to resolve the wiki issues so this is not really under our control at this point. |
Is there a new location for the wiki, or does it just not exist right now? I ask because I have a question on Stack Overflow about rJava (http://stackoverflow.com/q/26048133/169947) and I'm guessing an answer might be in the wiki. |
AFAIR the wiki is down for some technical reason, I don't think it moved. BTW: you issue on SO has nothing to do with rJava - you're apparently failing to compile the modified code. Note that R does NOT provide facilities to compile Java code, it is the responsibility of the package author (mainly because R doesn't require JDK so there is no guarantee that compilers are available at install time - that's why most packages compile classes at build time, not install time). |
Oh! Okay, I thought there was a way to get java compilation into the build process and I was just missing it. If I can get back to this issue (at work) I might try to submit a doc patch that makes it clear that the java has to be compiled manually, and how one might go about it. Thanks. |
There's a link to http://wiki.r-project.org/rwiki/doku.php?id=packages:cran:rjava on http://www.rforge.net/rJava/ which is broken. I assume the wiki moved, but I don't know where to, so I'm not sure what the right fix is.
