Multiple Terminals

The default deployment for OpenShift homeroom includes a single terminal on the right.

You can edit envvars/gateway.sh to change this behavior.

For two terminals, set:

export TERMINAL_TAB='split'

For three:

export TERMINAL_TAB='split/2'

If your lab instructions will not use the terminal, set:

ENABLE_TERMINAL='false'

If your workshop is only using bookbag to host lab instructions, set the DEFAULT_PAGE:

export DEFAULT_PAGE='workshop'

Adding Commands

Commands may be added to the bookbag terminal by adding installation of those commands to the Dockerfile.

# Install the vim editor, helm, and ansible
RUN yum install -y vim-enhanced \
 && curl -s https://get.helm.sh/helm-v${HELM_VERSION}-linux-amd64.tar.gz \
  | tar zxf - -C /usr/local/bin --strip-components=1 linux-amd64/helm  \
 && pip3 install ansible
