Cannot see the deployed page

Is there a video tutorial on how to use this to create a portfolio?

I am trying to follow the steps and getting it working on localhost but whenever I deploy I cannot find the deployed page.
If I just clone the repo and try to deploy that one it doesn't let me because of permission absence and if I fork the repo I can actually deploy but I cannot find the deployed page and I feel like I can't really push/commit new or edited files into the forked repo. I'm pretty inexperienced so forgive me if I'm missing some details.
