Option: Ignore empty string on copy

I am a very happy user of Ditto.
I have 1 small wish for a new setting: Ignore empty strings

Sometimes, an empty string is on top of the paste list.
No clue why, but it is there and stays there until I copy a new value:

This is your password manager, or another app, clearing the last entry from your clipboard, to protect your passwords. Check your password manager's settings for something like "Clear Clipboard". (For me, it's in Bitwarden's Firefox extension.) Lastpass and Keypass have this option somewhere too.

Firefox has an option to clear the clipboard, and all filled text fields on websites when you Exit. Chrome and the other browsers may have this option too. So check their settings.

Last, Windows 11 may have a Clear setting in its Clipboard Options (Star Menu --> type "Clipboard" --> Clipboard Settings.) Windows 10 doesn't seem to though.

Other users might get your passwords by pasting them when you're not looking. It's also a risk if your computer, or hard disk is ever stolen (Neither the clipboard, nor Ditto-database, are encrypted so anyone can read them.) In addition, someone who is looking over your shoulder could read the password if you accidentally paste it somewhere in plain text. (I've done this before.) On top of all this, your passwords and credit card numbers are easily compromised within Ditto's unencrypted .db file. (They're working on that in the Beta version, I believe!) Until then you could disable Ditto from saving sensitive data by excluding the software program in its Advanced settings.

If you insist on saving passwords in Ditto, use Veracrypt, or Windows Bitlocker to keep Ditto's folder secure when your computer is off. If you do encrypt Ditto, turn off Hibernate in Windows Power Settings, because Ditto could be left unencrypted while your computer sleeps otherwise. (There are ways to prevent this but it's complex and not well-documented.) Basically, just change critical passwords right away if your computer, or USB drive with portable Ditto, get stolen.
