Integrate viewerjs via plugin

Plan is to integrate http://viewerjs.org with this gallery via plugin. Idea is inspired by Google Inbox style preview for attachments. Previews of supported files will be achieved by viewerjs and displayed through lightgallery.

It would be helpful to know, from the makers of this plugin, how much of this integration is possible without changing core and only relying on Plugin API. Also guidelines would be of great help while developing such integration or untill I'm more familiar with plugin internals.

I am interested whether this would benefit project and would be of use to community. Help and ideas are welcomed and appreciated.
