I've got an issue - I don't know where to start helping #1

Hey! I wrote this mud for fun, but it's definitely got legs. I contributed to a C++ mud long ago (Duris/Sojourn/Basternae) - and wanted to see if the concept could be re-executed more simply with Go and composition. I stopped here because well, it was the lion's share beyond this. Mapping room and mob data to a stored syntax. I'm certainly game to keep poking at it, it's fun! |
I ended up moving main out a folder - does the installation work with a
simple "go get <url>" and then the MUD runs? If so I'll get cracking at
some of the other functionality.

@bubthegreat I'd like to start working on this project too, I was thinking about tackling the DB requirements by using a boltdb toolkit like https://github.com/asdine/storm (Which is rather simplistic but translates easily into things like Mongo if more expandability is needed, which I've done before). You can reach me on Discord @ yamamushi#0001 if you're looking for someone to work on this with :-) |
I've been maintaining an old ass codebase, and it's painstaking - I'd rather port that game into golang, or at least a majority of the core functionality, and then implement those rooms. Do you have time to sync up and chat about working on this together, or is this kind of dead?
