Thank you very much for your work on this. I installed the lite-version of your rpi-image to my raspberry pi, with the goal to create a lightweight kodi box, but when I tried to recompile kodi, with the use-flags I wanted, the build failed. I unmasked 18.5 to see if it worked better, but it failed at the same place. Ultimately I created this patch to kodi and created a local ebuild to get it to install correctly.

The patch adds include for cassert in two files. I find it really strange that it only fails when compiling on your image; I know I've successfully compiled it on gentoo arm64 earlier. But, anyhow, that is what happened and here is the patch for anyone who runs into the same problem.

If you have any idea why this happened, I would be happy if you could enlighten me :)

30 Oct 2020: sadly, due legal obligations arising from a recent change in my 'real world' job, I must announce I am standing down as maintainer of this project with immediate effect. For the meantime, I will leave the repo up (for historical interest, and since the images may be of use still in certain applications); however, there will be no further updates to the underlying binhost etc., nor will I be accepting / actioning further pull requests or bug reports from this point. Email requests for support will also have to be politely declined, so, please treat this as an effective EOL notice.

For further details, please see my post here.

Many thanks for your interest in this project!

With sincere apologies, sakaki ><
