Submitter name: Paul Janowitz
Champion name (if different): pebx, janowitz
City and country (EU preferred): Berlin, Germany

Venue Information
What type of venue will the conference be in? (university, hotel, other, unknown): unknown yet, however I have already submitted several requests to hotels, universities and other venues like the futurium
Outside organizations who will also provide support: The Monero Community in Germany is quite strong, I'd also contact RIAT after finding some venue.
Is there a high speed (>100mbps upload) connection for streaming?
This is a requirement for my inquiries so yes.

Will we have full control over the AV? (yes, no, unknown): yes.
Will we have full control over the catering? (yes, no, unknown): yes.
What is the cost of the venue?
Futurium was a bit too expensive, since it would be like 4,000 Euro per day for up to 300 attendees. Unfortunately the cost for 100 attendees would be quite the same...
How many people can the venue accommodate?
If we get one of Berlin's universities on board, we can probably have several thousands of attendees. However, a realistic estimation is more like 100 people and such a venue is not a very big problem.

Hotel Information
Use the Trivago Hotel Travel Price Index in your city for “Jul 19” (USD or EUR): 92 Euro
What is the Numbeo Cost of Living Index: 65.56

Miscellaneous
Is there good transit from the airport?
I would take care of that, however I'm only requesting venues within the city center which are easily accessible by bus / train from the airports.
Are there any unusual visa restrictions?
No. Germany has very loose visa restrictions, all EU countries are visa-free (at least for 90 days) and also citizens from Australia, Japan and the United States can travel freely and get a visa on arrival.
Are there other related events ongoing at the same time?
Well, Berlin has always some events, we should narrow down the timeframe to tell more about that.
What specific dates do you recommend? (May - July):
No special recommendation, May to July you can expect pretty warm weather and also consider some parts of the conference to happen outdoors.

Flight Information
(price information is for both ways)

City Flight Time (approx) Cost (approx USD or EUR; June 4-8 according to Google Flights. Use lower and upper typical range (yellow))
San Francisco (SFO) 17 hours 670 Euro
Denver (DEN) 13 hours 802 Euro
Chicago (ORD+MDW) 11 hours 773 Euro
Atlanta (ATL) 11 hours 1560 Euro
Vienna (VIE) 1 hour 48 Euro
Paris (CDG+ORY) 2 hours 68 Euro
Copenhagen (CPH) 1 hour 39 Euro
Dublin (DUB) 2 hours 106 Euro
Athens (ATH) 3 hours 82 Euro
Madrid (MAD) 3 hours 61 Euro
Sydney (SYD) 24 hours 749 Euro

Note: June 4-8 selected for consistency in the approximate Konferenco time period. These numbers may be individually higher or lower than normal depending on demand. Add NA if same city.

Berlin is probably one of the cheapest capitals out there and in the center of Europe. It has a very vibrant cultural scene with many bars, clubs and restaurants. I would also offer some trusted community members to stay at my flat.

My vote is also for Berlin. I live in central Berlin and would be more than happy to help with the organisation of the event. I've seen many Monero stickers strung up around the city, I think it'd be perfect!

Do you maybe have a connection to the universities here?

I have some friends at HU, I'd call my connection sparse.
