So i don't understand where I need to go in the terminal for the command to work properrly (the app itself is located in the applications folder)

You should be using ./, not .../ you could also use xattr -r -d com.apple.quarantine ~/Applications/Nintendo\ Switch\ Online.app and that will work regardless of where your terminal is cd'd into
