Does the middle mouse button to release work?

@dananothername In virtualbox default is it just the right ctrl key.
Or did you mean that with "i tries left+right" as it is not clear.

it's not a regular VB
tried left+right mouse keys
the Wheel too

I am having this same problem with PCem 17 on Ubuntu 22.10. It shows CTRL-END in the titlebar but this does not work. I have tried with several keyboards. I can use middle click to release mouse when using 2 button mouse emulation but there is no way I can find to release the mouse when using 3 button mouse emulation.

I confirm that CTRL+END also doesn't work for me.

The PCem I'm using is Gentoo's app-emulation/pcem-17-r1

I can confirm this is still a problem on Fedora 38. Tested on two machines (ThinkPad T430, and a homebuilt Ryzen5 system). Tried this with both the packaged version in Fedora as well as one I compiled.

i changed the mouse
problem solved
but it seems not to be the good idea
all the mouses king i have not working

Ubuntu 22.04, Microsoft wireless mouse. Have this problem too.

Have the same issue. Ubuntu 22.04. Only workaround is to log in with ssh using another machine and kill the pcem process.
