An issue projects may face is that they have to depend on APIs which may become non-functional/get discontinued at some point. If for some reason, the project is abandoned before that (a risk with all FOSS projects), the user may have to look for new solutions while having to abandon the comfortable workflow of an existing working one. Export options may not work with the newer solutions either.
A way to future-proof the project would be to let users have the ability to add custom movie/show names along with their PNG/JPG files for posters. In short, giving users the ability make custom entries with images. Jelu has implemented exactly this feature, but for books.
I hope Watcharr becomes incredibly successful and gets all the community support it deserves. Having said that, I do hope this will be considered as a feature to future-proof the project so that users can genuinely rely on Watcharr.
