We should perform a full sync against Jellyfin for all jellyfin users daily (probably daily?).
If it isn't too big of a task, creating a webhook address (should be created/started by admin) for jellyfin to send events to for live syncing would be great. Though I'm not sure that this is as important as the daily full sync (more of a side quest, if there is time and effort).

Hey,
Thanks for releasing the Jellyfin sync feature, really enjoying using Watcharr now!
For this, it might just be easier to allow the user to pick like a cron timing for the sync job?

Glad to hear you're enjoying it!
We can surely add in a server wide setting for scheduling the Jellyfin sync task.
There's a few improvements we need to make around the basic task runner we currently have, so we may roll each part out incrementally, just so this one task doesn't take 3 years.
Instead of a full sync on a cron job, isn't it better to use a webhook on Jellyfin, the way it's also recommended in this issue's description? This is also what's done in Movary, and my experience with that has been quite satisfying.
Hi @pbogre, yep you are right. Ideally we will have both, I will likely get the cron job full sync done first (easiest of the two) then the webhook next (as soon as I have the time to do so).
Continuation of #82.
