Donwload path on Andorid TV can't be a network location #884
Comments
I have the same problem for a long time and still not found the solution, so I use a usb key for storage to be able to view with quasar. I have a box android TV (MIBoX3) with 8G. I use Kodi also on pc windows and I have not this problem to choose the place of storage, with the same version of kodi, quasar and quasar burst. I think but maybe I'm wrong that it is the Android version of the MIBOX (version 6.0.1) that blocked some access, or the box itself is flanged. If someone has a solution you are welcome. |
@JaqenGOT thanks for your reply, sorry to hear you experiencing same problem, but at least I am not alone here :) |

@dududobadoo after doing exactly as you wrote, I can't find that folder structure when exploring the storage with “Download path (not FAT32)” ... any idea? |
In Settings->General->"Download path (not Fat32)" I cannot choose network drives/NFS/SMB or anything else, just folders on local machine (in my case Android TV).
I have KODI on my Android TV which has 8GB storage, I want to set download path a USB stick (plugged to my TV) or SMB/NFS on my local network, but I can't do it, there is no way to select something from File Manager (UPnP, SMB, USB stick, NFS, ...). So I cannot stream movies larger than my available space in Andorid TV :/
I have Quasar on my MAC and it allows to do this. Not sure if it is related to Quasar version or Platform that Kodi runs on.
Any ideas when this will be fixed? Or how can I workaround this?
