Problem

Currently the end user needs to use coursier to generate metals-emacs.
This adds extra steps and failiure points to the installation process.

Solution

Offer a download link for a precompiled version of metals-emacs on the website.
(And for all other versions that would have to be manually compiled).

Alternatives

  • Provide .deb and .rpm packages and add metals-emacs to package repositories.
