Special characters in entity names are not displayed properly in the search bar

Entities with special characters in their names have those special characters removed inside the search bar.

One example is A$ap Ferg, whose name gets transformed into aap ferg.

His name is displayed correctly in the clip viewer:

Presumably this is to stop these special characters from breaking the query, but maybe there's a way to display the correct name to the user while removing it from the query itself?
