I am in the process of adding soplex to the Fedora Linux distribution. Thank you very much for this fine software! During package review, the reviewer pointed out that the license terms are not stated anywhere in the soplex distribution. The top-level LICENSE file contains the boilerplate text. Would you be willing to add https://www.apache.org/licenses/LICENSE-2.0.txt to your distribution somewhere?

Just to be clear, do you mean the LICENSE file in the main directory that states that it is Apache-2.0 with a link included is not sufficient and you think the full license text should be included also? I am not against this at all, just wondering why it is necessary.

Yes, a file with the full license text is what I am requesting. The reason is that we store license texts with packages so that they are easily discoverable. A soplex package, for example, would have its license text in /usr/share/licenses/soplex. This is done as a service for our users, so they can easily review license terms.

It isn't necessary, but it would be nice.

I don´t see a reason not to do this. Could you create a PR?
