This is a follow-up to #13389 (comment). .. deprecated:: caused problems in a function, while it was already present in a few classes. It turns out tools/refguide_check.py does not check class methods.

Not very high-prio, but if someone is going to do significant work on the refguide checker in the future, this can be taken along.
