SciPy has one method for solving triangular systems with dense matrices, solve_triangular and one for sparse matrices spsolve_triangular.

Surprisingly, solve_triangular defaults to lower=False (only consider the upper triangle), spsolve_triangular defaults to lower=True. Perhaps we'll never be able to change this behavior due to backwards compatibility, but I thought I'll point this out. It's a papercut.

This is with SciPy 1.6.3.
