Prevent Push Option

This might be more of a request than an issue. Still, I love the animation, container, and direction options available in the offcanvas element. I just wish there was a way to use it such that the offcanvas content slid on top of some content instead of _pushing _content one way or another. Is there a setting for this? Am I just missing something? If not, I think it would be incredibly valuable to have a mode option that included "push" and "layer" or something like that.
