<lb ed="#Bb" n="18"/>non est separabilis a materia : quia per
<lb ed="#Bb" n="19"/>seipsam ipsa est potentia ad formam, ut
<lb ed="#Bb" n="20"/>quidam dicunt. Conrra hoc videntur esse
<lb ed="#Bb" n="21"/>tria inconvenientia : quorum primum
<lb ed="#Bb" n="22"/>est, quod aliquid citra primum est sua
<lb ed="#Bb" n="23"/>potentia. Secundum est, quod privatio
<lb ed="#Bb" n="24"/>non cognoscitur a Deo, nisi per
habi<lb break="no" ed="#Bb" n="25"/>tum, ut dicet Magister infra. Cum ergo
<lb ed="#Bb" n="26"/>potentia materie sit privatio, non habet
<lb ed="#Bb" n="27"/>ideam propriam in qua formetur idea.
<lb ed="#Bb" n="28"/>Tertium inconveniens est ut prius, quod
<lb ed="#Bb" n="29"/>materia a Deo cognoscitur per alterum,
<lb ed="#Bb" n="30"/>et non per seipsam in propria natura.

<lb ed="#Bb" n="32"/>Deus cognoscit materiam et facit
imme<lb break="no" ed="#Bb" n="33"/>diate per ideam materiae. Licet enim
se<lb break="no" ed="#Bb" n="34"/>cundum Boetium et Avicennam, illa
<lb ed="#Bb" n="35"/>que sunt tantum in potentia, ut
mate<lb break="no" ed="#Bb" n="36"/>ria, vel semper permixta potenti
secun<lb break="no" ed="#Bb" n="37"/>dum successionem sui de potentia in
ac<lb break="no" ed="#Bb" n="38"/>tum, ut motus, et tempus, vel permixta
<lb ed="#Bb" n="39"/>potentiae ad id quod contrarium est actui
<lb ed="#Bb" n="40"/>in quo sunt, ut vacuum, et infinitum,
<lb ed="#Bb" n="41"/>sint a nobis non pleno intellectu
intelli<lb break="no" ed="#Bb" n="42"/>gibilia: tamen a Deo pleno intellectu
<lb ed="#Bb" n="43"/>cognoscuntur : et ideo dico esse ideam
<lb ed="#Bb" n="44"/>speciem efficientis, quam imitatur quan-~

<lb ed="#Bb" n="46"/>imitantur illam, secundum potentiam ens
