<lb ed="#Be" n="19"/>est presens. Cum igitur proponens non
<lb ed="#Be" n="20"/>peccare, possit, peccare in futurum,

<lb ed="#Be" n="48"/>iterum renovariad poenitentiam, et aliud
<lb ed="#Be" n="49"/>iterum poenitere. Renovari enim ad
pe<lb break="no" ed="#Be" n="50"/>nitentiam est baptizari in remissioney
<lb ed="#Be" n="51"/>peccatorum ad poenitentiam : et hoc egt
<lb ed="#Be" n="52"/>impossibile : sed pcenitere iterum,
ma<lb break="no" ed="#Be" n="53"/>nente primo charactere baptismali, est
<lb ed="#Be" n="54"/>possibile.

<lb ed="#Be" n="59"/>iteretur : ergo et poenitentia non debet
<lb ed="#Be" n="60"/>iterari, quae ordinatur contra actuale, et
<lb ed="#Be" n="61"/>curat ipsum perfecte. Dicendum, quod
<lb ed="#Be" n="62"/>nihil simile est tribus de causis : quarum
<lb ed="#Be" n="63"/>prima est, quod baptismus immediate
<lb ed="#Be" n="64"/>trahit vim suam a passione Christi, quia
<lb ed="#Be" n="65"/>Deo Patri completur satisfactio primi
<lb ed="#Be" n="66"/>peccati in passione Christi tantum : et
<lb ed="#Be" n="67"/>ideo sicut illa non iteratur,ita nec
baptis<lb break="no" ed="#Be" n="68"/>mus : sed poenitentia supponit aliquid
<lb ed="#Be" n="69"/>in nostra voluntate, quae mutabilis et
<lb ed="#Be" n="70"/>iterabilis est. Secunda est, quia
baptis<lb break="no" ed="#Be" n="71"/>mus imprimit characterem semper
ma<lb break="no" ed="#Be" n="72"/>nentem : et ideo si secundus reciperetur
<lb ed="#Be" n="73"/>baptismus, essent duo characteres
ejus<lb break="no" ed="#Be" n="74"/>dem speciei, vel unus nullum haberet
<lb ed="#Be" n="75"/>effectum : quorum utrumque est
incon<lb break="no" ed="#Be" n="76"/>veniens : sed poenitentia non imprimit
<lb ed="#Be" n="77"/>aliquem characterem. Terlia est, quia
<lb ed="#Be" n="78"/>licet Rabanus infra ' videatur dicere,
<lb ed="#Be" n="79"/>quod originale redit, tamen sciendum est
<lb ed="#Be" n="80"/>quod non redit, nec idem in specie, nec
<lb ed="#Be" n="81"/>idem in numero : et auctoritati Rabani
<lb ed="#Be" n="82"/>infra suo loco respondebitur : sed
mor<lb break="no" ed="#Be" n="83"/>bus contra quem ordinatur poenitentia,
<lb ed="#Be" n="84"/>iteratur, et ideo medicinam iterare né-
